Beneficiaries
The designated recipient of funds upon the death of the account holder.
A bank account beneficiary is an individual or entity (like a trust or business) designated to receive the funds in a bank account when the account holder dies, bypassing probate. Designating beneficiaries allows the account owner to control the distribution of assets and ensure a smoother transfer of funds to their chosen recipients.
Account Beneficiaries can be added, updated and removed through our Account Beneficiaries APIs. Interlace is flexible to allow beneficiaries to be created at account creation or at a later time based on the product type and bank requirements.
Share PercentageIn the Beneficiary List the share percentage is not required to sum to 100%. However, the API service does ensure that the share percentage does not exceed 100%.
